Acting on specific intelligence inputs received from the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI), Ahmedabad, Customs officials intercepted the accused. During a detailed and systematic check of the passenger’s check-in baggage, six vacuum-sealed polythene packets hidden among clothes were recovered. On further examination, the packets were found to contain a greenish, lumpy substance with a strong and pungent smell, suspected to be high-grade hydroponic cannabis, which was confirmed by field tests.
