Vadodara: The Vadodara Municipal Corporation (VMC) has decided to close another major road in the city to vehicular traffic for an indefinite period. The stretch from Manjalpur Suncity Circle to Vishwamitri Railway Station has been shut until the completion of ongoing drainage line work.

Earlier, roads connecting Vasna Jakatnaka, Bhayli, Natubhai Circle and Waghodia Junction were closed for an indefinite period due to drainage pipeline installation. With the latest closure, the Manjalpur stretch has now been added to the list of affected routes.

The corporation is currently undertaking work to lay a new gravity drainage line from Vishwamitri Railway Station to Manjalpur Suncity Circle. Owing to the use of heavy machinery and vehicles during the project, the road has been closed to the general public.

Civic authorities have appealed to commuters to use alternative routes and cooperate during the execution of the work. DeshGujarat
