Chilly but stable weather persists across Gujarat; Amreli and Naliya coldest at 9°C

Ahmedabad: Chilly conditions continued across Gujarat on Tuesday, with several parts of the state recording low minimum temperatures during the early morning hours, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
Among the colder locations, Amreli and Naliya recorded the lowest minimum temperature at 9.0°C, indicating chilly conditions in parts of Saurashtra and Kutch. Rajkot reported a minimum of 10.5°C, which was two degrees below normal, while Bhuj registered 11.8°C, slightly above the seasonal average. Deesa recorded 12.3°C, about 2.3 degrees above normal, and Gandhinagar logged 12.0°C, which was 1.4 degrees higher than normal.
In the central region, Ahmedabad recorded a minimum temperature of 13.8°C, about 1.5 degrees above normal, while Vadodara reported 14.6°C, also 1.5 degrees above normal.
Bhavnagar recorded 14.7°C, marginally above normal by 0.9 degrees. Daman reported a minimum of 17.4°C, Diu 15.0°C, Porbandar 16.7°C, Surat 16.0°C, and Veraval 18.1°C. Okha registered the highest minimum temperature at 19.0°C, close to its normal level.
Relative humidity at 0830 IST ranged from 37 per cent in Porbandar to 92 per cent in Daman, indicating varying moisture levels across the state. No rainfall was recorded at any station during the observation period.
Meteorological officials said night temperatures were near to slightly above normal in most regions, while a few interior and Saurashtra locations experienced colder-than-usual conditions. Cold but stable weather is expected to persist over parts of Gujarat in the coming days. DeshGujarat
