Official note on PM Modi’s three-day visit to Gujarat on January 10-12

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Gujarat from January 10–12, 2026. His office has released an official note regarding the visit, as per which the Prime Minister will arrive in Somnath on January 10 in the evening and, at around 8 PM, will participate in Omkar Mantra chanting, after which he will view a drone show at the Somnath Temple.
On January 11, at around 9:45 AM, the Prime Minister will participate in the Shaurya Yatra, a ceremonial procession organised to honour the countless warriors who laid down their lives defending the Somnath Temple. The Shaurya Yatra will feature a symbolic procession of 108 horses, reflecting valour and sacrifice. Thereafter, at around 10:15 AM, the Prime Minister will perform darshan and pooja at the Somnath Temple. At around 11 AM, the Prime Minister will participate in and address a public function in Somnath.
Later in the day, the Prime Minister will travel to Rajkot to participate in the Vibrant Gujarat Regional Conference for the Kutch and Saurashtra region. At around 1:30 PM, he will inaugurate the trade show at the conference. Thereafter, at around 2 PM, the Prime Minister will inaugurate the Vibrant Gujarat Regional Conference for the Kutch and Saurashtra region at Marwadi University, Rajkot. He will also address the gathering on the occasion. During the event, the Prime Minister will also announce the development of 14 greenfield smart Gujarat Industrial Development Corporation Limited (GIDC) estates and inaugurate the medical device park of GIDC at Rajkot.
The Vibrant Gujarat Regional Conference is being held from January 11–12, 2026, catering to 12 districts across the Kutch and Saurashtra regions. Dedicated exclusively to these regions, the conference aims to usher in fresh momentum for investment and industrial growth in western Gujarat. The focus sectors of the conference include ceramics, engineering, ports and logistics, fisheries, petrochemicals, agro and food processing, minerals, green energy ecosystem, skill development, startups, MSMEs, tourism and culture, among others. Japan, South Korea, Rwanda and Ukraine will be the partner countries for the conference.
From Rajkot, the Prime Minister will travel to Ahmedabad. At around 5:15 PM at the Mahatma Mandir Metro station, the Prime Minister will inaugurate the remaining stretch of Phase 2 of the Ahmedabad Metro from Sector 10A to Mahatma Mandir.
On January 12, the Prime Minister will meet the Federal Chancellor of Germany, H.E. Mr Friedrich Merz, in Ahmedabad. At around 9:30 AM, the two leaders will visit the Sabarmati Ashram, followed by their participation in the International Kite Festival at the Sabarmati Riverfront at around 10 AM.
This will be followed by bilateral engagements from 11:15 AM onwards at Mahatma Mandir, Gandhinagar, where the Prime Minister and the German Chancellor will review the progress made in the India–Germany Strategic Partnership, which has recently completed 25 years. DeshGujarat
