Federal Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany Friedrich Merz’s Gujarat visit concludes

Gandhinagar, 13 January 2026: The Gujarat visit of the Federal Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany, Friedrich Merz, has been successfully completed.
After participating with Prime Minister Narendra Modi in various cultural and strategic programmes and in the India–German CEO Forum, he departed for Germany today from Ahmedabad Airport. Governor Acharya Devvrat, Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, and other dignitaries gave a warm farewell to the German Federal Chancellor Friedrich Merz.
On this occasion, Chief Secretary M. K. Das, Additional Chief Secretary of GAD Dr. Anju Sharma, City Police Commissioner G. S. Malik, Chief Protocol Officer Jwalant Trivedi, District Collector Sujeet Kumar, and high-ranking officials including those from the MEA were present. DeshGujarat
