Ahmedabad Police announces traffic restrictions/diversions on Sabarmati River Drive

Ahmedabad: A portion of the western river drive along the Sabarmati Riverfront will be closed to traffic on January 12 in view of the visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and German Chancellor Friedrich Merz for the International Kite Festival.
According to a statement issued by the Ahmedabad City Police on Friday, the stretch between the Vadaj crematorium and Ambedkar Bridge will remain shut to all vehicles from 7 am to 12 noon on the day.
Police have advised commuters heading towards Paldi crossroads to use the alternative route via the Vadaj crematorium to Vadaj Circle, onward to Usmanpura crossroads, under the Income Tax flyover, past the Bata showroom, and through Town Hall. DeshGujarat
