Germany to open Honorary Consul office in Ahmedabad

Ahmedabad: India and Germany deepen their cultural and people-to-people engagement with a renewed focus on maritime heritage at Lothal and the announcement of a new diplomatic presence in Gujarat through the opening of an Honorary Consul of Germany in Ahmedabad.
These announcements were made during the visit of the Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany, Friedrich Merz, to India. Prime Minister Narendrabhai Modi hosted German Chancellor Friedrich Merz at the International Kite Festival at the Sabarmati Riverfront in Gujarat this morning, followed by delegation-level bilateral meetings at Mahatma Mandir in Gandhinagar.
