Ahmedabad International Flower Show Extended Till January 29

Ahmedabad: The Amdavad International Flower Show, which was inaugurated on January 1, has been extended by another week following an overwhelming response from citizens, Standing Committee Chairman Devang Dani announced on Friday.

Originally, the flower show was scheduled to remain open till January 22. However, in view of the sustained public interest and to provide more citizens and visitors an opportunity to experience the exhibition, it will now continue till January 29.

Dani stated that the show has been receiving an excellent turnout since its opening, with visitors flocking to the venue every day. The response was particularly strong during the festivals of Uttarayan and Vasi Uttarayan, when more than 60,000 people visited the flower show.

He said that considering the enthusiasm and sentiments of the people of Ahmedabad, as well as the interest shown by Non-Resident Indians (NRIs) who visit the city during December and January, the civic body has decided to extend the event. DeshGujarat
