Minimum Temperatures Remain Above Normal Across Gujarat

Ahmedabad: Several parts of Gujarat recorded above-normal minimum temperatures on February 11, according to the weather report issued by the India Meteorological Department (IMD). The trend indicates relatively mild early-morning conditions across most districts, while no rainfall was reported anywhere in the state.
Among major cities, Surat and Dwarka recorded some of the highest minimum temperatures at 19.6°C, followed by Okha (20.4°C) and Kandla (19.0°C). Coastal centres such as Porbandar (18.5°C), Veraval (18.3°C), and Bhavnagar (18.1°C) also remained warmer than normal.
In central Gujarat, Ahmedabad registered a minimum of 15.8°C, which is 1.8°C above normal, while Gandhinagar recorded 15.6°C, also above seasonal levels. Among other locations, Deesa (15.4°C) and Naliya (16.0°C) showed notable positive departures, with Naliya reporting a 4.5°C rise above normal, indicating a significant warming trend during night and early-morning hours.
Relative humidity levels at 0830 IST ranged from around 61% in Surat to 94% in Rajkot, reflecting moderate to high moisture presence in the atmosphere. Despite this, rainfall remained nil across all reporting stations.
Overall, Gujarat continues to experience stable and dry weather conditions with milder-than-usual nights, suggesting a gradual seasonal transition toward warmer pre-summer temperatures in the coming weeks. DeshGujarat
