Palanpur to get ₹46 crore railway overbridge; land acquisition underway

Palanpur: The completion of a 1,212.19-metre-long railway overbridge on the Palanpur–Laxmipura road in Banaskantha district will benefit approximately 1.41 lakh residents of the city, Minister Rushikesh Patel said on behalf of the Roads and Buildings Department while replying to a question in the Legislative Assembly today.
Providing further details in the House, Patel said that ₹46 crore has been sanctioned for the construction of a modern railway overbridge in Palanpur. He added that land acquisition has already been completed and the process of taking possession of the land is currently underway and is expected to be completed soon.
The minister stated that once the overbridge is completed, it will help save time and fuel for commuters and ease transportation in the area. Around 1.41 lakh citizens of Palanpur city are expected to benefit from the project. DeshGujarat
