Palanpur: An outsourced data entry operator at the mamlatdar office in Varahi, Patan district, was caught red-handed by the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) while allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs 7,000.
According to ACB officials, Mahesh Kumar alias Mukesh Parmar, posted in the ATVT branch, had demanded the money to process an official order from the mamlatdar for issuing a duplicate birth certificate for the complainant’s nephew.
After the complainant approached the Patan ACB, officials set up a trap at a tea stall outside the office and apprehended Parmar while he was accepting the bribe. DeshGujarat
