February 25, 2026
Vadodara: A 19-year-old youth was killed in a horrific road accident in the Panigate area of the city on the evening of February 21. The deceased has been identified as Aditya Kumar Rajendrabhai Parmar, a resident of Chanakya Nagari in Kalali village.
Aditya was riding his motorcycle from Mahavir Crossroads towards Panigate when the incident occurred. The entire accident was captured on CCTV cameras, which show that he allegedly lost control of the bike due to overspeeding. The motorcycle veered off course and crashed into an air-inflating machine outside a private petrol pump near Dudheshwar Society. Eyewitnesses said the impact was so severe that the youth sustained critical injuries within seconds.
Locals gathered at the spot and rushed Aditya to Sayaji Hospital for treatment. However, doctors declared him dead before treatment could begin due to the severity of his injuries.
Fortunately, no one else was injured in the incident. After postmortem procedures, the body was handed over to the family. Police officials from the Panigate police station have registered a case and initiated further investigation. Preliminary findings suggest that overspeeding and loss of control were the primary causes of the accident.
Authorities have urged motorists to adhere to speed limits, stating that the shocking CCTV footage serves as a stark reminder of the dangers of reckless driving. DeshGujarat
