34 Candidates Trained at Gujarat’s SPIPA Selected in UPSC Civil Services 2025

Ahmedabad: In the final results of the Civil Services Examination 2025 conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC), a total of 34 candidates trained at Sardar Patel Institute of Public Administration (SPIPA), Ahmedabad, have been selected for the All India Services, marking a significant achievement for the institution.
The results of the Civil Services Preliminary Examination held on May 23, 2025, were declared on June 11, 2025, in which 14,161 candidates across India qualified for the Main Examination. Of these, 272 candidates were trained at SPIPA.
Subsequently, the results of the Main Examination were declared on November 11, 2025, and 2,376 candidates from across the country were shortlisted for the Personality Test, including 82 candidates from SPIPA.
Following the Personality Tests conducted between December 2025 and February 2026, UPSC declared the final results on March 5, 2026. A total of 958 candidates across India have been selected for the All India Services, including 34 candidates trained at SPIPA.
To prepare candidates for the Personality Test, SPIPA organised special training programmes from November 2025 to February 2026, which included 15 mock interviews and four special lectures. Accommodation was also arranged at Gujarat Bhavan in New Delhi for candidates appearing for the interview.
SPIPA provides free coaching, study material, library facilities, reading rooms, and internet access to candidates preparing for the UPSC Civil Services Examination. The institute also offers academic guidance and support, helping youth from Gujarat succeed in competitive examinations.
The Gujarat government also provides various incentives to encourage aspirants. Candidates enrolled in SPIPA’s Prelims training programme receive ₹2,000 per month as financial assistance for up to seven months.
Candidates who clear the UPSC Civil Services Preliminary Examination receive ₹25,000 for male candidates and ₹30,000 for female candidates as incentive assistance. The same amount is provided to candidates who pass the Main Examination.
For candidates from Gujarat who secure final selection in the Civil Services Examination, ₹51,000 is provided to male candidates and ₹61,000 to female candidates, while non-domicile candidates receive ₹21,000 and ₹31,000 respectively.
According to SPIPA, the institute has recorded consistent success over the past three years, with 26 candidates selected in 2023, 27 in 2024, and 34 in 2025 in the UPSC Civil Services Examination.
Deputy Director General of SPIPA, Ahmedabad, stated in a press release that under the guidance of Director General Harit Shukla, the institute has been playing a key role in helping youth from Gujarat secure positions in the country’s top civil services. DeshGujarat
