Gujarat Govt orders Premature Retirement of Five Judges on High Court recommendation

Gandhinagar: Taking a significant step concerning the state judiciary, the Gujarat government on Monday ordered the premature retirement of five judicial officers with immediate effect in public interest. The order, issued as per the recommendation of the High Court, was notified by the Legal Department of the state government.
The judicial officers (judges) who have been prematurely retired are:
1. Prathamesh Vinodchandra Shrivastav, Principal District Judge, Morbi
2. Prashant Vinodray Joshi, Principal Judge, Family Court, Morbi
3. Mohammedeliyas Faridbhai Mandli, Principal Judge, Family Court, Porbandar
4. Alihusen M. Sheikh, 3rd Additional District Judge, Rajkot at Dhoraji
5. Kirtikumar Jayantilal Darji, Additional District Judge, Arvalli at Modasa
As per the notification, the officers will be paid salary and allowances equivalent to three months in lieu of the notice period. DeshGujarat
