Out of 11,648 Milk Samples Tested, 868 Found Substandard in Gujarat

Gandhinagar: The Gujarat government informed the Assembly that no case of chemical adulteration in milk has been found in the state, though several samples were found to be substandard during testing.
As per the reply by Minister of State for Health , as of 31 December 2025, the state administration collected 11,648 milk samples across Gujarat to check adulteration. Out of these, 868 samples were found substandard as per prescribed standards.
However, the government clarified that no sample was found to contain chemical adulterants in laboratory reports.
In reply to another question, the minister said that no separate action was required regarding chemical adulteration, as no such cases were detected during the period under review. DeshGujarat
