Stray Dog Menace Continues: 5-Year-Old Boy Attacked by Pack in Surat

Surat: In yet another incident highlighting the menace of stray dogs, a five-year-old boy was brutally attacked by a pack of stray dogs while playing in a local garden in the Sachin GIDC area.
The victim, Hitesh, was suddenly surrounded and mauled by four to five stray dogs. According to reports, while other children playing in the area managed to flee, Hitesh was left alone and became the target of the pack. The child sustained severe, deep bite wounds in more than five places across his body.
Hitesh was immediately rushed to Surat Civil Hospital in a bloodied condition, where he is currently undergoing treatment for his injuries.
This latest incident has sparked intense outrage among local residents against the city administration. Locals have expressed frustration over the recurring nature of these attacks, noting that the “terror” of stray dogs in Surat shows no signs of stopping despite repeated safety concerns. DeshGujarat
