Vadodara: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Friday released its list of candidates for the upcoming Vadodara Municipal Corporation (VMC) elections, fielding a total of 76 nominees across 19 wards.

In a significant move, the party has denied tickets to all five outgoing office bearers from the previous term, including Mayor, Deputy Mayor Standing Committee Chairman, Leader of ruling Party and Whip, signalling a major reshuffle ahead of the local self-government polls. Of the total candidates announced, only 15 have been given a second chance to contest on the party ticket, while the remaining are new faces. DeshGujarat
