8 held in Kheda for blackmail, rape of minor Hindu girl

Kheda: In yet another case of love jihad, police in Chandna village have arrested eight individuals in connection with the repeated sexual assault and blackmail of a minor Hindu girl, allegedly over three years. A total of nine suspects have been booked, with authorities searching for the one remaining fugitive.

The arrests followed a formal complaint filed under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act. Police investigations revealed that the primary accused, Parvez Pathan, trapped the minor in a “love trap” about two years ago, recording compromising photos and videos to begin a cycle of blackmail.

Pathan shared the recordings with associates, leading eight additional men, including Mahir, Faizan, Taufiq, and Sahil Pathan, to allegedly threaten and exploit the victim. The suspects used threats of leaking the videos on social media and killing her family to ensure silence. The abuse persisted from 2023 until Ramadan 2025.

The matter surfaced when the victim informed her family. They sought help from local Hindu organizations, who aided in filing an FIR at Kheda Town police station.

Officials described it as a pre-planned conspiracy matching “love jihad” tactics. After arrests, police reconstructed the crime scene with the eight suspects today. The victim underwent a medical exam, and authorities have assured the strictest action against all involved, with efforts ongoing to nab the final suspect. DeshGujarat
