Gujarat Local Polls: Turnout in Cities Up, in Rural Areas Down Compared to 2021

Gandhinagar: The final turnout of Gujarat local polls in 2026 has been lower when it comes to District panchayats and Taluka panchayats. It is higher in case of Municipal Corporations and almost same in case of Municipalities.
Against 46% turnout in Municipal Corporations in 2021, it is 49% in 2026, which is around 3% up.
Against 66.68% turnout in District Panchayats in 2021, it is 61.69% in 2026, around 5% down.
Against 66.84% turnout in Taluka Panchayats in 2021, it is 62.38% in 2026, over 4% down.
In case of Municipalities, the turnout in 2021 was 59.05% while in 2026 it is 59.5% – almost same. DeshGujarat.
