Ahmedabad: The Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board is set to announce the results of the Class 12 and Class 10 board examinations next week, bringing relief to nearly 15.28 lakh students across the state.

It is learnt that the Class 12 results for both science and general streams may be declared on May 4, while the Class 10 results are expected to be announced around May 6.

Students can check their results by visiting the official website of the board, www.gseb.org. In addition, with the use of technology, the board has made it possible to access results through WhatsApp. Students can receive their results on WhatsApp by sending their seat number to 6357300971. This decision will help students access their results quickly and easily.

The Class 10 and Class 12 examinations were conducted between February 26 and March 18 this year, with around 15.3 lakh students registering, including 9.1 lakh for Class 10.

Among Class 10 candidates, 7.7 lakh were regular students, 19,825 private candidates, 70,702 repeaters, 5,386 private repeaters, and 41,286 separate candidates.

In the Class 12 general stream, 5.01 lakh students registered, including 4.4 lakh regular candidates, 35,174 private candidates, 15,813 repeaters, 7,873 private repeaters, and 5,147 separate candidates.

For the science stream, approximately 1.2 lakh students appeared, including 1.1 lakh regular students, 7,690 repeaters, and 279 separate candidates.

The results of GUJCET 2026 are also expected to be released on May 4, alongside the Class 12 science stream results. The exam is a key gateway for admissions to engineering and pharmacy courses in Gujarat.

The GUJCET exam, held on March 29, saw about 1.32 lakh students appear out of 1.36 lakh registered candidates.

Last year, the board announced the Class 12 science, GUJCET, and general stream results on May 5, followed by the Class 10 results on May 8. The declarations came a day after NEET 2026, and a similar timeline is anticipated this year, with NEET scheduled for May 3. DeshGujarat
