IPL 2026 Final: AMTS, BRTS Deploy 182 Buses for GT vs RCB Clash at Narendra Modi Stadium

Ahmedabad: To facilitate the movement of cricket fans during the Tata IPL 2026 final at the Narendra Modi Stadium on May 31, the Ahmedabad Municipal Transport Service (AMTS) has expanded its public transport arrangements, increasing the number of buses deployed for the matchday.

According to an office order issued by AMTS, a total of 130 buses will operate on 21 routes for spectators travelling to and from the stadium. The arrangement includes 80 buses on 15 existing routes and 50 buses on six special night routes, replacing the earlier plan of operating only 20 buses on five night routes.

The special night services will begin after the match and continue until all spectators are cleared from the venue. These routes will connect the stadium with key parts of the city, including Vasna, Maninagar, Odhav, Narol, Ujala Circle and Kalupur. AMTS has fixed the fare for the special night services at ₹30 per passenger.

Officials have been instructed to coordinate closely with depot managers, starters, vigilance teams and terminal in-charges to ensure smooth operations and adequate bus availability throughout the event. Additional staff members will also remain deployed during the match for passenger assistance and crowd management.

Meanwhile, Ahmedabad Janmarg Limited (AJL), which operates the BRTS network, has also made special arrangements for the IPL final. AJL will operate 52 buses in total, comprising 36 regular services and 16 additional buses. The BRTS services will continue until the end of the match to accommodate the post-match rush.

Apart from deploying extra buses, AJL has also stationed staff at key locations to assist with traffic regulation and passenger management, ensuring seamless connectivity for thousands of spectators expected to attend the high-profile IPL final. DeshGujarat
