GujRERA Suspends Registration of Ahmedabad Residential Project; Bars Sale, Booking of Units
June 09, 2026
Ahmedabad: The Gujarat Real Estate Regulatory Authority (GujRERA) has suspended the registration of the Shyam Heights residential project in Nava Vadaj with immediate effect after the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) revoked its development permission over non-payment of chargeable Floor Space Index (FSI) dues.
Acting under Section 36 of the Real Estate (Regulation and Development) Act, 2016, GujRERA said the move was aimed at protecting the interests of homebuyers and allottees.
AMC has also ordered an immediate halt to construction at the site. In its June 6 order, GujRERA prohibited any further marketing, booking, or sale of units in the project and warned of strict action for any violations.
The order has been served on promoter Shyamvijay Infrastructure LLP. GujRERA has also notified AMC’s West Zone Estate Department, the Nava Vadaj Sub-Registrar’s Office, and HDFC Bank’s Anandnagar branch to ensure compliance and prevent further transactions linked to the project. DeshGujarat
