Ahemdabad: The Amdavad Municipal Corporation (AMC) is set to undertake the widening of a key road in Raipur from 15 metres to 24 metres to address persistent traffic congestion in the area, Standing Committee Chairman Kamlesh Patel said on Thursday.

According to Patel, road widening will impact 42 properties comprising 36 commercial properties and six residential properties.

The survey conducted by AMC revealed that tenants and business owners have been staying in these properties for many years. Accordingly, municipal authorities have been asked to find ways to help such people cope with the impact of the road widening project.

Road widening is intended to enhance traffic flow through one of the most populated and bustling parts of the city. DeshGujarat
