Railways Approves Route Change for Sabarmati – Veraval Vande Bharat Express Train

Sabarmati: The Vande Bharat Express train, which connects Gujarat’s largest city Ahmedabad with the land of Somnath Mahadev, will soon run on a different route. A route change has been approved by the Railways Ministry for the 26901/26902 Sabarmati–Veraval Vande Bharat Express. This semi-high-speed train will now run via Botad–Jetalsar–Junagadh instead of the current route via Viramgam–Surendranagar–Rajkot–Jetalsar–Junagadh.

According to the new timetable, Train No. 26901 Sabarmati–Veraval Vande Bharat Express will depart Sabarmati at 06:00 am, stopping at Gandhigram, Dholka, Dhandhuka, Botad, Dhola, Dhasa and Junagadh before arriving at Veraval at 12:50 pm.

In the return direction, Train No. 26902 Veraval–Sabarmati Vande Bharat Express will leave Veraval at 3:50 pm and after stopping at the same stations, will arrive at Sabarmati at 10:25 pm.

Under the new route, the Sabarmati–Veraval Vande Bharat will have two more stations in the Ahmedabad district, namely Gandhigram and Dholka. Furthermore, this revised alignment will also bring Dhandhuka, Botad, Dhola and Dhasa into the Vande Bharat network.

As per the communication from the Railway Board to Western Railway, the revised route has been approved and is likely to be implemented from the ARP (Advance Reservation Period) or the no-booking date, whichever is earlier. Therefore, as of now, these changes are not reflected on IRCTC’s ticket booking website.

Railway officials have been directed to give wide publicity to the route change and make the necessary operational arrangements for its implementation. DeshGujarat
