AMC Orders Legal Action Over Illegal Occupation of 17 Houses in Asarwa

Ahmedabad: The Amdavad Municipal Corporation (AMC) will take strict action against those illegally occupying the EWS quarters at Jupiter Mill in the Asarwa area of the city. AMC Standing Committee Chairman Kamlesh Patel said that the Municipal Commissioner and Deputy Municipal Commissioner have been instructed to take legal action in this matter.
Speaking to the media after the Standing Committee meeting held every Thursday, the Chairman said that during the meeting, Asarwa area corporator Rajubhai had raised the issue of illegal occupation in 17 houses of the EWS quarters at Jupiter Mill.
In this regard, the Deputy Municipal Commissioner informed the meeting that the belongings of the illegal occupants had been seized. The Chairman said that merely confiscating the belongings is not enough, and that the Municipal Commissioner and Deputy Municipal Commissioner have been instructed to take legal action against such occupants.
He said that the benefits of EWS housing should be given only to the eligible beneficiaries, and that the corporation will take a strict stance against illegal encroachments on government properties. DeshGujarat
