ECI Announces By-Election Schedule for Manjalpur Assembly Seat in Gujarat

Vadodara: The Election Commission of India (ECI) on Thursday announced the schedule for the by-election to the 145-Manjalpur Assembly constituency in Gujarat, necessitated by the death of sitting MLA Yogeshbhai Narandas Patel.
According to the poll schedule, the official gazette notification will be issued on July 6, marking the commencement of the election process. Candidates will be able to file their nomination papers until July 13, while scrutiny of nominations will take place on July 14. The last date for the withdrawal of candidature has been fixed as July 16.
Voting for the Manjalpur Assembly by-poll will be held on July 30, and the counting of votes will take place on August 3. The election process is scheduled to be completed by August 4.
The ECI has also announced by-elections for the Bankipur Assembly constituency in Bihar and the Datia Assembly constituency in Madhya Pradesh. The vacancy in Manjalpur arose following the demise of BJP MLA Yogeshbhai Narandas Patel. DeshGujarat
