Only two candidates in fray in Manjalpur assembly seat by-election

Vadodara: Manjalpur assembly seat by-poll in Vadodara city of Central Gujarat will have only two candidates. No other candidate is in fray in this by-poll, voting for which is going to take place on 30th July.
After the last date of withdrawal of nomination forms, the only two candidates remaining in fray are Satendra Patel (Satish Patel) of ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Bhikhabhai Rabari of Indian National Congress.
Both are candidates of recognized national political party. While Bhikhabhai is resident of Makarpura area, Satish Patel is resident of Chhani area of city.
Barring these two candidates from BJP and Congress, one was an independent candidate and the other was from Right to Recall Party. Nominations of both of them were rejected. The other candidates who had filed candidates were dummy of Congress and BJP candidates who withdrew their nominations.
The by-election was declared by the Election Commission of India (ECI) after sudden passing away of then sitting BJP MLA Yogeshbhai Patel who represented Manjalpur for several terms. Counting of votes will take place on 3rd August for Manjalpur by-poll. DeshGujarat
