McDonald’s Outlet in Ahmedabad Sealed After Customer Gets Chicken Burger Instead of Veg Order
July 21, 2026
Ahmedabad: A McDonald’s outlet in the Naroda area was sealed by the Amdavad Municipal Corporation (AMC) after a customer alleged that he was served a non-vegetarian burger instead of the vegetarian burger he had ordered online.
According to the complaint, the customer placed an online order on the night of July 20 from the McDonald’s outlet near Hanspura, Galaxy Crossroads, in Naroda. The order included a Veg Spicy Paneer Burger, a cheeseburger, and a Coca-Cola. However, when he opened the package, he found a Spicy Chicken Burger instead of the vegetarian burger he had ordered.
The customer immediately approached the restaurant and raised the issue, alleging that a non-vegetarian burger had been delivered despite his vegetarian order. He later lodged a complaint with the Food Department of the AMC.
Acting on the complaint, officials from the AMC Food Department reached the restaurant the same night and carried out an inspection. Following the inquiry, the civic body sealed the McDonald’s outlet overnight.
AMC officials are yet to disclose the detailed findings of the inspection or clarify whether further action will be taken against the restaurant. The incident has raised concerns among customers over food order accuracy, particularly in cases involving vegetarian and non-vegetarian items. DeshGujarat
