Surat Declares School Holiday on July 24 Amid Heavy Rainfall

Surat: In view of the continuous heavy rainfall across Surat district, the district administration has declared a holiday for all schools and anganwadis on Friday, July 24, as a precautionary measure.
The holiday will apply to all primary, secondary and higher secondary schools, as well as anganwadis, located within the Surat Municipal Corporation limits, municipalities and rural areas of the district. The order covers both students and staff.
The decision has been taken jointly by the District Education Officer, the District Primary Education Officer and the Surat Municipal Commissioner’s office under the guidance of the district administration, keeping in view the safety of students amid the ongoing heavy rains. DeshGujarat
