July 28, 2026
Ahmedabad: In a move aimed at improving passenger convenience and strengthening rail connectivity, the Ministry of Railways has approved changes to the terminal station, timetable, and route of the 22925/22926 Ahmedabad-Okha-Ahmedabad Vande Bharat Express. The revised schedule will come into effect from August 17, 2026.
Under the new arrangement, the train will originate from and terminate at Sabarmati (Jail Side) station (SBT) instead of Ahmedabad Junction. The Vande Bharat Express will also get a new stoppage at Ambli Road railway station, providing improved connectivity for passengers from western Ahmedabad.
Senior Divisional Commercial Manager, Rajkot Division, Sunil Kumar Meena, said the additional halt has been introduced to cater to the rapidly developing western parts of the city.
As per the revised timetable, Train No. 22925 Sabarmati-Okha Vande Bharat Express will depart from Sabarmati at 6:15 am every day, except Tuesday, from August 17. It will reach Ambli Road at 6:23 am, depart at 6:25 am, arrive in Rajkot at 9:31 am, depart at 9:36 am, and reach Okha at 1:20 pm.
Similarly, Train No. 22926 Okha-Sabarmati Vande Bharat Express will leave Okha at 4:45 pm, reach Rajkot at 7:44 pm, depart at 7:49 pm, arrive at Ambli Road at 10:40 pm, depart at 10:42 pm, and terminate at Sabarmati at 11:10 pm.
The train will continue to operate six days a week, except Tuesdays.
With this change, Ambli Road railway station will get its first-ever Vande Bharat Express stoppage. The new halt is expected to benefit passengers from S.G. Highway, Bodakdev, Prahladnagar, South Bopal, Shela, and other nearby areas by offering quicker access to the semi-high-speed service.
Railway officials said the existing schedule of Train No. 22925 Ahmedabad-Okha Vande Bharat Express will remain in force until August 15, while the current schedule of Train No. 22926 Okha-Ahmedabad Vande Bharat Express will continue until August 16.
Passengers have been advised to check the latest train timings, stoppages, and other updates on the official railway enquiry portal before planning their journey. DeshGujarat
