Ahmedabad: The terminal station and schedule of the Ahmedabad-Okha Vande Bharat Express have been changed, with the train now beginning operations from Sabarmati station instead of Ahmedabad (Kalupur) station.

According to the revised schedule issued by the Railway Department, the changes came into effect from Monday. The Ahmedabad-Okha Vande Bharat Express, which previously operated in the evening, will now run in the morning and operate six days a week, except Tuesday.

Under the new timetable, Train No. 22925 Sabarmati-Okha Vande Bharat Express will depart from Sabarmati Junction at 6:15 am and reach Okha at 1:20 pm. The train will operate via Ambli Road, Sanand, Viramgam, Surendranagar, Wankaner, Rajkot, Jamnagar and Dwarka.

In the return direction, Train No. 22926 Okha-Sabarmati Vande Bharat Express will depart from Okha at 4:45 pm and arrive at Sabarmati Junction at 11:15 pm, with scheduled halts at stations including Dwarka, Jamnagar and Rajkot.

Under the revised schedule, the train will have a two-minute halt at Ambli Road station in both directions. It will also stop at Sanand, providing an additional travel option for passengers from western Ahmedabad, Sanand and surrounding areas.

With the revised arrangement, Sabarmati station will serve as both the originating and terminating station for the service, replacing Ahmedabad (Kalupur) railway station.

The revised timings and terminal arrangement are expected to streamline the operation of the semi-high-speed service and provide passengers with updated departure and arrival arrangements from Sabarmati. DeshGujarat
