AMC Plans to Auction 16 TP Plots with Rs 1,207 Crore Reserve Price
July 30, 2026
Ahmedabad: The Amdavad Municipal Corporation (AMC) has proposed auctioning 16 town planning (TP) scheme plots with a combined reserve price of around Rs 1,207 crore to raise funds for infrastructure projects and clear pending dues of contractors. The proposal has been placed before the Standing Committee for approval.
According to civic officials, the revenue from the land auctions will be used to finance key infrastructure works, including roads, bridges, water supply projects, pumping stations, health centres and other public facilities.
Most of the plots are located in premium western areas of Ahmedabad, such as Ambli, Thaltej, Gota, Jagatpur, Ranip and Sola. A large residential plot in Hanspura has also been included in the proposed auction.
The most valuable property is Plot No. 96 in TP Scheme 109 (Muthiya-Hanspura-Bilasia), measuring 41,823 square metres. With a reserve price of Rs 71,000 per sq m, the plot is expected to fetch nearly Rs 297 crore.
The proposal follows the AUDA Price Fixation Committee’s meeting held on June 12, during which the valuations of 20 AMC-owned plots were reviewed. Reserve prices were finalised for 16 plots, while the valuation of the remaining four was deferred. DeshGujarat
