During the raid, police found two women allegedly involved in prostitution, including an 18-year-old, along with two college students who had allegedly come as customers. One of the students was found with a woman inside a room, while another was waiting in the flat, police said.
According to investigators, the accused charged Rs 1,000 per customer. Police said Jagruti allegedly provided the flat for the operation, while Kalu was responsible for bringing customers and keeping watch outside. Cash worth Rs 1,000 and mobile phones worth Rs 21,000 were seized during the raid.
Police have registered a case under the Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act, and further investigation is underway.
Police Inspector M.B. Zala said the investigation also revealed that another brother of Jagruti, Vishal Chavda, and the arrested accused Kalu are active workers of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP). Police, however, have not alleged any role of the political party in the case, and the investigation is focused on the alleged prostitution racket. DeshGujarat
