Gujarat Govt Transfers 3 IAS Officers including Surat Municipal Commissioner

Gandhinagar: The Gujarat government on Tuesday issued a notification transferring three IAS officers and making changes to key administrative positions, including the State Project Director of Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan and the Municipal Commissioner of Surat.
According to the notification issued by the General Administration Department (Personnel), Ranjeeth Kumar J., IAS (RR:GJ:2005), who was serving as State Project Director, Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan, Gandhinagar, has been transferred. He will be appointed Secretary, Gujarat Electricity Regulatory Commission (GERC), Gandhinagar.
Kumar was also holding additional charge as Secretary, GERC.
Nagarajan M., IAS (RR:GJ:2009), currently serving as Municipal Commissioner of the Surat Municipal Corporation, has been transferred and appointed State Project Director, Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan, Gandhinagar, in place of Ranjeeth Kumar.
Following Nagarajan’s transfer, Tejas Dilipbhai Parmar, IAS (RR:GJ:2016), Collector, Surat, will hold additional charge as Municipal Commissioner of the Surat Municipal Corporation.
The arrangement has been made under Section 39 of the Gujarat Provincial Municipal Corporation (GPMC) Act, 1949.
