September 01, 2026
Ahmedabad: Tesla has expanded its customer support infrastructure in Gujarat with the launch of a Tesla-Approved Body Shop (TAB) in Ahmedabad, offering vehicle owners access to genuine parts, trained technicians and collision repair services in line with Tesla’s standards.
The new facility is expected to strengthen Tesla’s after-sales service for customers in Ahmedabad and nearby areas while reducing vehicle repair turnaround time.
During the inauguration of the body shop, Tesla India Country Head Sharad Agarwal said, “Today in Ahmedabad, we have introduced our body shop service and test-drive experience centre. This is our 7th body shop and service centre. Before this, we had introduced our body shop and service network in Gurugram, Delhi, Chennai, Hyderabad, Pune and Mumbai.”
The company has also started offering test drives and vehicle displays in Ahmedabad for the 2026 Model Y Premium Rear-Wheel Drive and Model Y L. Customers can book test drives through Tesla’s website or its toll-free number.
The Model Y Premium Rear-Wheel Drive delivers up to 500 km of WLTP range, 2,138 litres of storage capacity and can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.9 seconds. The model is priced at Rs 50.89 lakh in India.
The three-row Model Y L features a six-seat, all-wheel-drive configuration, offers up to 681 km of WLTP range and 2,539 litres of cargo space. It can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in five seconds, with prices starting at Rs 61.99 lakh.
With the addition of Ahmedabad, Tesla’s approved body shop network in India now covers Pune, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Delhi, Gurugram and Ahmedabad. The company also provides home-charging support across all states.
Tesla said the expansion reflects its continued efforts to build a comprehensive ownership and customer-support ecosystem in India. DeshGujarat
