Nikol gets fire station

Ahmedabad: Fire and emergency response infrastructure in Ahmedabad is set to receive a boost with the inauguration of a new fire station in Nikol, along with new emergency response equipment.
As part of the civic body’s initiatives, 15 First Response Vehicles (FRVs) have been procured at a cost of ₹19.74 crore. The vehicles will be deployed at Ahmedabad fire stations for public emergency and rescue operations.
In addition, 10 boats with engines have been procured at a cost of ₹3.40 crore for use in emergency and rescue operations, particularly during water-related incidents.
The new fire station and emergency response assets were inaugurated by Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel on Thursday and are aimed at strengthening the Ahmedabad Fire and Emergency Services’ capacity to respond quickly to fires, accidents, floods and other emergencies. DeshGujarat
