Ahmedabad Town Hall to get a modern makeover; renovation to be completed in two years

Ahmedabad: The renovation of Ahmedabad’s historic Town Hall is targeted for completion within two years, with the blueprints and plans for the project expected to be ready within the next one-and-a-half months, Standing Committee Chairman Kamleshbhai Patel said.

According to Patel, the renovation work is expected to begin within two months after the plans are finalised. The project aims to upgrade the Town Hall into a modern, state-of-the-art facility while preserving its historical and cultural heritage.

Completed in 1940, the Art Deco–style town hall is an important cultural venue in Ahmedabad, hosting various events and attracting residents, artists and art enthusiasts. The proposed renovation is expected to enhance the facility and improve the experience for visitors while retaining its significance in the city’s cultural landscape. DeshGujarat
