Rajkot: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) conducted a search at the office of lawyer Ram Makwana in Jasdan on Monday, triggering a stir in the town.

A team of ED officials from Delhi searched the office, located opposite the Taluka Seva Sadan, after unlocking its premises. During the operation, investigators reportedly seized several documents and electronic devices, including laptops, hard disks and printers. The seized material is likely to be examined to trace suspected financial irregularities.

It is learnt that the search was aimed at investigating alleged financial transactions linked to gaming and hawala activities. The agency is believed to be examining financial records and transaction trails to establish possible connections with the suspected activities.

The operation has sparked discussions in Jasdan and other parts of Rajkot district over potential links to broader financial networks. However, details of the suspected transactions and the alleged network remain unclear.
