Sarathi Portal Outage Disrupts RTO Services in Gujarat; 15,000 Applicants Hit

Surat: The Sarathi portal, the central online platform for driving licence-related services, crashed again on Tuesday morning, disrupting operations at 39 Regional Transport Offices (RTOs) across Gujarat, including Ahmedabad.
The outage inconvenienced around 15,000 applicants, affecting almost all licence-related services, including learning licence tests, driving licence renewals and modifications or corrections to existing licences.
With the portal inaccessible, applicants with scheduled appointments were unable to complete their transactions, forcing them to reschedule and face further delays.
Learning licence applicants were among the worst affected, as tests scheduled at ITIs across Ahmedabad were cancelled due to the technical glitch. Applicants seeking licence renewals, corrections and other related services were also forced to reschedule their appointments. DeshGujarat
