Gujarat BJP welcomes the decision to release all 130 who were held yesterday for creating ruckus in function

Gandhinagar: Gujarat BJP has welcomed the state government decision to release 130 persons who were held yesterday by Surat police during ‘Patidar Abhivadan Samiti’ organized ‘Rajasvi Sanman Samaroh’ function.
As many as 130 from Patidar community were held by police for motive of rioting in public function in presence of BJP national president Amit Shah and chief minister Vijay Rupani.
State BJP president Vaghani in a statement issued here today said he heartily welcomes the decision taken by the State government. It’s an example of kindness on government part, he added.
According to BJP note, 130 persons held yesterday are released following direct instructions issued by Shri Amit Shah and Vijay Rupani. No case has been filed against any of those 130.
Vaghani in a statement further said that attempts were made yesterday to spoil the event, defame the organizers and trigger fear in order to cause stamped like situation but Amit Shah and Vijaybhai Rupani directed police and administration to keep complete restraint. Tolerance shown by Amit Shah, Rupani, Patidar community leaders and police till the end of the function has presented ideal example of social unity. Top leadership of BJP, police and Patidar community maintained amazing restraint and ensured that those who are misled don’t face legal procedures and get right path.
