Shirdi Saibaba Sansthan does away with queues, launches e-crowd system
December 12, 2016
Shirdi: The Shri Saibaba Sansthan today launched electronic crowd management system aimed at reducing inconvenience to the devotees during rush hour.
Shri Saibaba Sansthan Trust (SSST) chairperson Dr Suresh Haware launched ‘time darshan’ using biometric system.
Amravati based Sharad Tatyarao was the first devotee to be registered after the launch. Haware said, “Instead of standing in a queue the devotees can register their names through biometric system and choose their convenient time for darshan. They can then visit the temple at that stipulated time.”
The Sansthan has made it compulsory to register through biometric system. No devotee will be allowed in the temple without registering his name.
Due to the launch of biometric system, the name, town and mobile number of the devotee will get registered in the system.
The earlier system of paid pass for the devotees will continue, Haware added.
