11 MoUs signed at Vibrant Ceramics Expo & Summit-2016 in Ahmedabad

Ahmedabad: Chief Minister Vijay Rupani today attributed foreign investors’ preference for setting up their facility in Gujarat to the state’s physical infrastructure, airports, industry-friendly labour laws, transparency, digital connectivity, credibility and quality consciousness.

Inaugurating the Vibrant Ceramics Expo and Summit-2016 here as precursor to the biennial Vibrant Gujarat Summit-2017 to be held next month, he said that as many as 18 investor-friendly policies have been framed in the state with stress on ‘Clear Concept; No Confusion’. He said the Vibrant Gujarat Summit started by Prime Minister Narendra Modi when he was the Chief Minister of the state has also increased the state’s attractiveness for the investors.

The Chief Minister said that ceramics industry in the state also held in as much esteem as diamond in the world market. He presented awards for excellence to ceramics entrepreneurs for innovations. The Association presented Rs.11-lakh cheque towards the Chief Minister’s Girls Education Fund.

Nearly 100 delegates and participants from 20 states in India and 24 countries are participating in the three-day Summit held under the aegis of Morbi Ceramics Association.

Global ceramics majors from 11 countries signed MoUs with local entrepreneurs for product development and enhancement in presence of the Chief Minister.

Association President Kundariya welcomed the guests and delegates. Global Network CEO Jagat Shah said that road shows held abroad were responsible for the success of the Ceramics Summit. Adani Ports & SEZ President Amit Uplenyawar announced that a Ceramics Tiles and Sanitary Wares SEZ will be set up near Mundra Port.
