Vice Admiral GS Pabby reviews passing out parade of Navy Engineers at INS Valsura in Gujarat

Jamnagar: Vice Admiral GS Pabby, Chief of Materiel of the Indian Navy today reviewed a ‘Passing Out Parade’ (POP) of the B-Tech trainees of O-166 Electrical Specialization Course at INS Valsura here.

The POP marked the culmination of 95 weeks professional training in Electrical specialization post their B Tech. A total of 41 Officers including 30 Officers of Indian Navy and Eleven Officers of Indian Coast Guard passed out marching through the Quarterdeck of INS Valsura.

A 50 men Guard of Honour was presented to the chief guest in an immaculate ceremonial parade which was also witnessed by distinguished guests from Jamnagar and parents of the passing out course.

In his address to the officers and men on parade, the Admiral complimented on the excellent drill and advised everyone to foster the spirit of nationalism. He applauded Valsurians for their sincere efforts and never die spirit in nurturing INS Valsura as pride of the Indian Navy and the state of Gujarat. The chief guest emphasized that the nation today requires leaders displaying alacrity and perseverance which is hallmark of a responsible armed force.

The chief guest awarded officers for excelling in academics, sports and extra-curricular activities. The coveted Chief of Naval Staff trophy and Admiral Ramnath Trophy for ‘Best All-round Officer’ was awarded to Sub Lieutenant Kanwarpreet Singh. The Commander, AR Khandekar rolling trophy for first in overall order of merit was also awarded to Sub Lieutenant Kanwarpreet Singh, Chief of Naval Staff Rolling Trophy for first in fleet competency board was awarded to Sub Lieutenant Bharat Chandraand. DNRD Rolling trophy for the Best Project was given to Assistant Commandant Sandeep Kumar, Assistant Commandant Divyanshu Singh & Assistant Commandant Aditya Mishra.Assistant Commandant Potela Kodanda Ram of Indian Coast Guard was awarded DGCG ‘Best All-Round Officer’ Rolling Trophy.
