Rehearsal of mega bike rally to welcome PM Modi in Surat

Surat: A grand rehearsal of the motor-cycle rally to be taken out from Airport to Circuit house here on April 16 on arrival of Prime Minister Narendra Modi was done.
Local BJP MP C R Patil and various party MLA’s also participated in the rehearsal of the rally which is to cover around 8 km long route to welcome the Prime Minister. Around 15 thousand motor cycles were expected to join the mega rally.
Police Commissioner Satish Sharma said that tight security arrangements were being made in the wake of the rally and the likelihood of PM joining it in an open jeep.
Prime Minister Modi will make a night halt at the circuit house here on April 16. The next day he will inaugurate a hospital in Katargam area and also address a meeting. He will also dedicate a diamond company the same day. Later he will go to Bajipura in nearby Tapi district to inaugurate a plant of Sumul Dairy and address a meeting which is likely to be attended by thousands of women milk producers. He will later go to Silvassa to distribute benefits of various central schemes to thousands of beneficiaries. On the same day he will go to Botad to inaugurate phase 2 of the SAUNI scheme related to filling up the dams of Saurashtra with water of river Narmada.
Minister of state for home Pradipsinh Jadeja today visited Surat to take stock of the preparations for PM’s arrival here. He also shared the information regarding the visit with media.
