Ahmedabad: Yoga Guru Baba Ramdev today said that world was on its way to witness the glorious return of ‘Yogic culture’ and the target of his life was to do charity work of more than Rs 100000 crore in next 20 to 25 years.

He also suggested political parties to pass resolution regarding compulsory Yoga practice for its leaders, MP’s, MLA’s and cadres to get rid of the menace of political corruption. The Yoga Guru reiterated that he was not a political person but was supporting Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his better policies, intentions and leadership. He also said that PM Modi was not ‘Maun’ (silent) about black-money issue and owing to his steps the ‘bad days’ of black money hoarders would come.

Addressing a press conference here Baba Ramdev said that there was a time when vedic culture was prevalent. But during Mogul period a different culture started and later during British rule it took the colour of British ways. Now the world was going to see the resurgence of Yogic culture. ‘The echo of its approach was felt when 170 countries including Islamist, Christian and of other religious faith supported the proposal of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the UNO to observe June 21 as world yoga day. It also confirmed that yoga was scientific, effective and secular,. Many countries were adopting Yoga. It was good for everyone. India will in next 20 to 25 years will become the spiritual leader of the world as well as economic and political superpower,’ he said.

The yoga guru said that his organization (Patanjali) has reached a turnover of Rs 10561 crores last fiscal and was targeting a turnover of Rs one lakh crore in next five years. It would also organize around one lakh yoga classes. He urges people to give yoga and good health the first preference as power, prosperity, name-fame, success etc were its bi-products. People who complain about lack of time should know that I work for 18 to 20 hours each day yet keep four hours reserved for myself for yoga every day. Those who practice yoga can’t be corrupted. That is why I feel that all the political parties including the one of Arvind Kejriwal must pass a resolution regarding compulsory Yoga for its members, MP’s and MLA’s. It will end the corruption, violent behaviour and stress. Yoga is the only solution to the problem of corruption in politics and other walks of life,’ he said.

To a query regarding starting Swadeshi food-outlets, Baba Ramdev said that his organization want to see the multinational foreign players in this field turn up sided down doing Shirshasan. ‘Such companies never do any charity in the country. They always think of profit. We want to earn for charity, more so because I have put a target of charity in my life in next 20 to 25 years at more that Rs one lakh crores. I have also noticed that the richer folk in India were not so generous in giving donation for charity. I have begged many crorepatis. We are going to start educational institutions for children of martyred soldiers. We also have to do many things,’ he said.

To a query he said that his organization was trying to set up a cow research center in Guajrat to improve the breed of Gir, Kankrej and other cows making them produce 50 to 60 liters of milk each day. It would also be about research regarding producing cows of good breed through surrogacy. ‘We will share the good news soon,’ he said.

To yet another query he said that he was 100% non-political person. ‘I am not a government backed (Sarkari) but an effective (Asarkari) sadhu, I wear saffron owing to tradition and not because of any party affiliation. I support PM Modi because of his policies, intention and leadership. After such a long time we are seeing a PM who is concerned about our cultural legacy and leading the nation so well. I am a citizen of India first and then a monk,’ he said.

To a query regarding a Muslim cleric from Kolkata who has reportedly said that he would start Jihad in India if attempts were made to turn it into a Hindu nation, Baba said that his uttering were meaningless. ‘A religious leader should talk about joining people. I visit mosques, Gurudwaras because I believe that despite different faiths we all were children of same forefathers. He can’t even make Jihad happen in a ‘gulley’,’ he said.

On being asked about Kashmir problem, the Yoga Guru said that it would be solved if the state got a CM like Adityanath Yogi (the UP CM). He also advised former UP CM Akhilesh Yadav and other politicians to refrain from making derogatory remarks about any state or region. ‘The son of Gujarat Sardar Patel had united India by merging 565 princely states, a task which was unimaginable during per-independence time,’ he said replying to a question about former UP CM’s alleged remark about Gujarat’s military contribution.
About a question regarding black-money, Baba Ramdev said that PM Modi was a man of strong will and he would certainly fulfill the expectation of people. The steps he had taken were bound to bring bad days for black money holders. The government has also prepared a list of lakhs of such people for action. We believe that 80% of the black money was in the country itself and the steps PM Modi has initiated had created a panic among corrupt ones.

He also said that his organization was ready to help other aurvedic companies to improve the quality of medicines. He said that it was working for getting international organization for such medicines. He also said that there was need for laying norms for production of many such medicines.

He also elaborated on his yoga camp to be held here from June 10 to 21 on the occasion of International Yoga Day on the occasion.
