Dhirubhai Ambani Foundation Medical Centre opens at Chorwad; 75,000 from 25 villages to benefit

Chorwad:-Dhirubhai Ambani Foundation has given one more gift to people of Chorwad, native of Founder Chairman of Reliance Group Dhirubhai Ambani. Dhirubhai Ambani Foundation Medical Centre is opened for public on May 13, 2017 at Chorwad. The medical center will provide primary health care services to more than 75,000 people of around 25 to 30 villages of Malia, Veraval, Mangrol and Keshod taluka.
Mrs.Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani has been an inspirational and motivational figure for betterment of people of Chorwad. Creating a medical centre for people of Chorwad and surrounding areas was a long drawn desire of Mrs.Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani who is a mother figure for people of Chorwad.
The state of the art Medical Centre will include routine consultation, visiting specialist consultation, emergency management, laboratory, X-ray, Cardiogram, sonography and Critical care ambulance. In case of critical patient, after initial stabilization, they will be refereed to higher center. The consultation, emergency treatment and basic medicines will be provided free of cost. Laboratory, X-ray and sonography charges are very nominal.
The medical center will operate from morning 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. At Dhirubhai Ambani Medical Centre, two doctors in routine hours and five nursing staff in routine as well as emergency hours will be available. Apart from them, there will also be a laboratory technician, X-ray technician, pharmacist and receptionist in the Centre.
The medical center is spread in 25593 square feet plot with 13700 square feet built up area. It will have two rooms for medical officers, x-ray room, laboratory, pharmacy, administrative room, separate toilets for men and women, waiting area and store room. The medical center will have 400 square feet parking area to accommodate ambulance and other vehicles.
Mrs.Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani has also desired to start a Computer Training Centre for youths of Chorwad. Plans are afoot to commence the Computer Training Centre from the extended premises of this Medical Centre very shortly. The computer centre will empower local youths and impart computer skills in them which will ultimately make them self-reliant to earn a gainful employment.
The foundation also plans to start Mobile Eye Clinic Van service to provide eye care at doorsteps.
It should be noted that Dhirubhai Ambani Foundation has created various infrastructure and recreation facilities in Chorwad. The foundation has built the entry gate, garden, library and RCC Road. Dhirubhai Ambani Memorial at Chorwad has put the town on the map of tourism and many people visit it and get inspire from life of Dhirubhai Ambani.
