Rupani kicks off Vistarak programme at Fagvel; Trustee of Bhathiji temple leaves Congress

Gandhinagar: Gujarat BJP today started its 9-day long Vistarak progamme under which 48,000 party workers across Gujarat will leave routine life and become full timers to visit 48,000 booths for mass contact. Chief Minister Vijay Rupani started Vistarak drive from Bhathiji temple at Fagvel in Kheda district of central Gujarat. Rupani had lunch at party worker’s place in Fagvel. He also visited Dalit vaas area. Local MP Devusinh Chauhan said Rs 26 crore Fagvel-Lasundra water supply project for Kathlal, Kapadvanj and Mahemdavad has been completed. It will benefit 150 villages. Rs 30 crore will be spent to fill water in Jaloya-Savli talavs via Sujlam Suflam canal.Shedhi canal will undergo Rs 178 crore revamp which will increase its carrying capacity by three fold at 1800 cu sec. One of highlighting points of CM’s visit to Bhathiji temple today was induction of temple trustee Udesinh Rathod to BJP. Rathod is from Kapadvanj and he is considered loyalist of leader of opposition Shankersinh Vaghela who is also Kapadvanj MLA. Rathod today left Congress to join BJP.
