Party has not ousted Vaghela: Congress spokesperson
July 21, 2017
Ahmedabad: Congress today categorically said that Shankersinh Vaghela has not been ousted from the party.
Gujarat Congress spokesperson Manish Doshi clarified this to newsmen here soon after the Sam Samvedana sammelan of Vaghela on his Birthday in Gandhinagar town hall today during which the veteran leader in his initial remarks had claimed that the party had ousted him 24 hours back. He said that he had learnt about Vaghela’s statement from media.
‘It was not a fact, he has not been ousted or suspended from the party. He is still very much in the party which has always respected him,’ he said.
To a query about the change of his status on the twitter account as former CM from Leader of Opposition, a post which he has announced to leave from today by sending his resignation to Sonia Gandhi, Doshi said that the twitter account and social media profile etc were one’s private business.
‘The change in profile accounts is a personal decision and such things keep changing. Party has nothing to do with it,’ he said.
