Dhanera: Police has rejected the claim of Gujarat Congress President Bharatsinh Solanki that one SPG commando was injured during the stone hurling on Rahul Gandhi’s car here today.
SP Banaskantha Neeraj Badgujar also said that despite repeated requests from the police as well as his SPG team to use the bullet proof car provided to him by the state government, he chose to sit in a private vehicle.
He said that the Congress leader also stopped his vehicle abruptly at unscheduled places making it difficult for police and security agencies.
Badgujar said that a complaint in this regard against an unknown person who threw the stone from behind the vehcle has been lodged. ‘The rear window of the vehicle was broken but no one was injured in the incident,’ he said.
The matter was under investigation.
