Rajkot:
Amid the controversy over participation of Khodaldham trust Chairman Naresh Patel’s son Shivraj Patel in a Congress election rally in Rajkot he today clarified that it was only owing to his personal and family relationship with the candidate and it has nothing to do with his father and his outfit.
Shivraj had participated in the rally of Congress candidate for Rajkot South seat Dinesh Chovatiya who was contesting against former minister and BJP candidate Govind Patel.
Addressing a press conference Shivraj said that he participated in the rally as he has personal relation with the particular candidate. It has nothing to do with Khodaldham or his father.
Notably Naresh Patel also had a meeting with BJP state president Jeetu Vaghani recently. He had met PAAS leader Hardik Patel too.
The trust which represents the Leuwa faction of Patidar community, had repeatedly clarified that it was a neutral body and has nothing to do with any particular political party.
